Urban Theatre Projects maintains three-year funding agreements with the State Government of New South Wales, through the NSW Ministry for the Arts, and the Commonwealth Government, through its arts funding and advisory body the Australia Council for the Arts.
Bankstown City Council has been a significant supporter of UTP since the company moved to Bankstown in 1997. Council regularly supports projects through its cultural grants program, while providing ongoing assistance in recognition of the community cultural development UTP provides through services and infrastructure.
