INTERSECTION DEVELOPMENTS

In 2011 and 2012 UTP will develop 4 new theatre and performance works. They will be created by 8 young and emerging western Sydney based artists, who have a long relationship with UTP and the Bankstown region. Rather than focus on only one of these works for development and presentation, UTP will support a 3-week
development stage of each work.

Each of the 4 works will have an industry showing in which artists, peers and specific development and presenting partners will be invited. The 4 works stretch across a range of creative disciplines and styles of writing. The 4 teams of artists will be matched with a range of virtuosic creative consultants including cultural thinkers, directors, script editors and dramaturges.

The artists for Intersection Developments are Mohammed Ahmad, Darren Compton, Janie Gibson, Ahilan Ratnamohan, Effie Nkrumah, Peter Polites, Frank Mainoo and Georgie Read.
